CFD Packages for low airflow refrigeration systems

CFD Packages for low airflow refrigeration systems

CFD Packages for low airflow refrigeration systems

(OP)
I would like to know if anyone has any experience with CFD packages and low air flow refrigeration systems (Refrigerated Display Cases).

I am investigating if there is a way to model the system to predict airflow and ultimately product/case temperatures.

Thank You

RE: CFD Packages for low airflow refrigeration systems

You can use Ansys -Flotran for this application.Even it can support conjugate heat transfer. But you have to take radiation also consideration ,beacuase in display units the load will be maximum

RE: CFD Packages for low airflow refrigeration systems

We have successfully carried out work looking at various issues regarding airflow and temperature modelling within refrigerated cabinets using our FLUENT CFD software.  If you are interested then please let me know your number and a convenient time to call and I would be happy to contact you to discuss your requirements further.
