Does anyone have any experience with taking Ideas 6? (not sure if all the files are that version) and getting them converted to a format NX can read? Long story short I have inherited a large number of these files and converting them will help.

RE: ideas to nx translation

You really need to talk to a Siemens representative, either directly or through your distributor, and have them get you in contact with the people who are responsible for the 'Ideas to NX' transition program. They will know whether your situation is supported or not and what options you have in terms of how complete a transfer of data can be accomplished and what you might have to do in order to get an additional level of tranfer.

Thank you John Baker, that is what I was thinking would be needed. DidierPSICAD, 2D or 3D is unknown, I'd guess a mix, but since these files are from a defunct division and nobody is left from there we might have to just write the data off. I'll contact our rep to find out for sure. Thanks for the replies.
