How to delete a part after impact

How to delete a part after impact

How to delete a part after impact

(OP)
Hi everyone,

I'm working on a project where a metalic piece is damaged by numerous impacts.
In order to lower calculation time, i'd like to delete every instance of the "impacting" part after the impact.
If possible, it would also be interesting to activate the instance part just before it impacts rather than from the beginning.

Does anyone know how to achieve such a thing ?

PS : I'm using Abaqus/CAE and the impacting parts are rigid bodies.

Best regards,

Apu
