Hello,
Has anyone been able to compile+sign a journal vb.net for NX9?
Thanks

RE: NX 9 - COMPILE + SIGN - VB.NET

Have you successfully compiled and signed code for previous versions of NX?

www.nxjournaling.com

RE: NX 9 - COMPILE + SIGN - VB.NET

(OP)
Yes,
Compiling with the \UGOPEN\NXSigningResource.res
Then using \ugnx80\UGII\SignLibrary.exe to sign it.

For NX9 compiling with the NXSigningResource.res is the same process.
But for signing in NX9 there is a different program \ugnx90\UGII\SignDotNet.exe.

But it doesnt work.

RE: NX 9 - COMPILE + SIGN - VB.NET

I have SignDotNet.exe with NX8.5 which works for me.

Do you get any error message?

NX8.5 with TC9.1

RE: NX 9 - COMPILE + SIGN - VB.NET

Starting with NX8.5 you need to use SignDotNet.exe instead of SignLibrary.exe

RE: NX 9 - COMPILE + SIGN - VB.NET

I use SignDotNet.exe to sign NX6, NX7.5, NX8.5 and NX9 all with no problems for users.

Hello Frank,
What LICENSE BUNDLE is neccessary for NX9 to sign and compile ?

I have NX12100N;NX13300N
NX Version : NX 9.0.2.5
NX Phase : 5
NX Patch : NX 9.0.2.5 Rec C, 11Sep14

RE: NX 9 - COMPILE + SIGN - VB.NET

You'll need an additional "NX Open NET Author" license

RE: NX 9 - COMPILE + SIGN - VB.NET

(OP)
My company did not purchase this "NX Open NET Author" license for NX9.

For NX8 all you needed was "NS5020CAD" license.

RE: NX 9 - COMPILE + SIGN - VB.NET

(OP)
What license is necessary to "compile+sign" for C++ or Java ?

RE: NX 9 - COMPILE + SIGN - VB.NET

NS5020CAD is a specific supplier bundle that contains the author licenses you were using. Now that you have changed to NX12100N and NX13300N, neither of those contain an author license for any NXOpen language.

NX Open Toolkits Author [NX30106] is NX Open C++, NX Open for .NET, or NX Open for Java Application Programming Interface (API).

RE: NX 9 - COMPILE + SIGN - VB.NET

NX9 available bundles for my workstation are
NX13500
AS5050
CAM5X
GMS4050
NSXA510
NX12100N
NX13300N
NS5020CAD ->(for NX8 NS5020CAD sign compiled vb.NET code)
-> now for NX9 NS5020CAD is not able to sign compiled vb.NET code ?

RE: NX 9 - COMPILE + SIGN - VB.NET

NS5020CAD is an Automotive Supplier bundle.
Those bundles are limited to the version the Car company is using.
Working of my memory here but NS5020CAD is most likely limited to being used for NX8 only as that's the version they are using.
