(Pardon me) I assume, you are not a machinist-hand? Your situation and purpose are unclear, but I can venture a partial opinion-answer.

Last things first: Cincinatti machines when I operated them were awesomely stout/ well manufactured. But the Centerless grinder I saw 40+ years ago must be scrap by now.

This type of machine has limited uses, especially compared to Lathes which can produce similar and a much wider variety of products. If the tasks you need done involve using hardened materials, precision sizing and finish; Centerless grinding operations are inherently accurate when using proper technique (mainly abrasive-wheel conditioning). Cincinnati's are noted for their rigidity, reliability, precision and ability to remove material. Big plus; there are a number of Cincinnati rebuilders and parts stock available.

Like all centerless grinding, an understanding of the grinding geometry and careful attention to the machine setup are important to producing quality work (like finish, straightness, roundness and taper).

RE: Centerless grinding

Based on the question asked in the OP, I don't think this person fully appreciates the relationship between the results produced by a particular grinder/operator and the current condition of the grinding machine and how it has been maintained. This Cincinnati centerless grinder was a high-quality piece of equipment when new, but if it was not maintained and operated properly it won't produce good results.

Before you buy something like a precision piece of grinding equipment, I'd suggest you ask the seller to run a couple sample parts for you to inspect.

As of early Dec 28 Prodman 823's profile says - " After joining Eng-Tips Forums on December 9, 2014, I've logged in 3 times. My last login was on Wednesday, December 10, 2014." So it appears most of the responses and all the starred responses were just for our benefit.
