Best food grade sealant option for 304SS MPT

Best food grade sealant option for 304SS MPT

(OP)
Hello,
My apologies to start with for asking a question that has likely been covered here somewhere several times. Please feel free to direct me to a link. Meanwhile I'll continue to dig for a thread.

We service/install food grade machines that shares a combination of compression & MPT style fittings. These units typically don't see pressure over 40psi, but can get up to 300psi if the operator isn't paying attention.

We are having issues with the MPT fittings leaking after they are replaced & see repeated duty again. Brand new connections or a connection that's 6 months old might need tightening.

We currently use Chesterson Goldend Paste 900 & a thick PTFE tape.

My question is. Has anyone found a better solution to seal MPT on stainless to stainless that is safe for the food industry.

Also I'd like to keep the "get rid of the MPT" for another conversation.

Thank you & Happy Holidays.
