EXERGY ANALYSIS OF,... A HEAT-EXCHANGER

(OP)
Hello Dear Fellows, it's good to be back!

... HEAT-EXCHANGER - in two different processes:
a) water (cool phase) to water (hot phase);
b) water to steam.
Is anybody has perfomed some theoretical calculation as well experimental validation?
Thank you, and Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

RE: EXERGY ANALYSIS OF,... A HEAT-EXCHANGER

Not sure where you are going with this question: Heat exchangers (water-water and steam water) have been used since the 1880's (and earlier.)

there's not much "theory" left, but much engineering optimization happens every year. And the performance improves again every year in every heat exchanger when each HX is cleaned, the tubes blasted, the sand and mud removed, and the mussels removed.
