Wind load on domed roofs

Wind load on domed roofs

Wind load on domed roofs

(OP)
I am having hard time following the ASCE 7-05 to determine wind load on a doomed roof.
Any body knows of a source that has a step by step or more detailed wind calculation for domed Roofs?

What's the difference between case A and case B?
What are A, B,B , C points
How do we extract numbers from the tables
Where shall I start from?

Thank you for your kind help
Respectfully,

RE: Wind load on domed roofs

Cases A & B are described in Note 1 and points A, B & C are shown in section and plan at the top of pg. 50.

Now, I didn't say it was shown *clearly*.tongue (Actually, in fairness this one isn't bad, in my opinion.)

As for examples, there might be some one the interweb.

RE: Wind load on domed roofs

Guide to wind load provisions of ASCE 7-02 has an example of domed roof building in section 3.11 (page 93 onwards). Most probably, guide to ASCE 7-05 wind load provisions would also have similar example as well.
