Expressions help

Expressions help

RE: Expressions help

No, that information is included so that the user knows where and for what purpose the Expression is being used. While it's technically only reference data and plays no actual role, other than for informational purposes, I know of no way to display feature-defined expressions without that extra text.

That being said, there is a major project being proposed for the next version of NX (NOT NX 10.0) which covers some significant changes and enhancements to the Expression system so if I were you, I'd contact GTAC and have them open an IR/ER requesting that the inclusion of this extra information be optional, or at least something which could be removed from selected expressions and perhaps it will get consideration when we scope out this upcoming Expression project.

RE: Expressions help

Sundeep --

Interesting that you should bring this up. smile

As John mentioned, we're working on a major revamp of the Expressions UI as we speak, and actually, the change you've described (The ability to hide this information) is possible in our current prototypes.

Of course, nothing is final at this point, but I think you're going to like what happens here.

With that said, there is not a way to hide this information in the current (NX 3 - NX 10) UI.

Does that help?
