DIN 7527 std & 1.0570 Grade material _ Round Bar

DIN 7527 std & 1.0570 Grade material _ Round Bar

DIN 7527 std & 1.0570 Grade material _ Round Bar

(OP)
Hello All,

I am stucked while estimating a crane girder, because there is two round bars to be machined. It's description in the drawing is as follows;

1. Round bar 190 x 1000 mm x 4 Pcs
Standard: Din 7527
Material: 1.0570

2. Round Bar 350 x 120 mm x 4 Pcs
Standard: (they have not given)
Material: 1.7225 + QT

Somebody please give the exact equivalent ASTM or EN grade for this. At least to recognise whether it is SS or CS.?

RE: DIN 7527 std & 1.0570 Grade material _ Round Bar

The most recent European standards specify S355J2 (1.0577) according to EN 10025-2. Many German producers still reference the older 1.0570 steel number. They are essentially identical. 42CrMo4 (1.7225) is specified in EN 10083-3.
