Loadflow_confusion

(OP)
Hi,
I live in Nepal and am planning to conduct a load flow study of the whole country. It may be just roughly a 40 bus system since we're a very small country. My doubt is our country's total generation is around 750MW whereas the peak load demand is around 1200MW. In this case, will the load flow converge or not?. Suppose if it converges, it might give an unrealistic slack bus power. So, how should I approach to solve this problem?
Thanks in advance,
Samundra

RE: Loadflow_confusion

Sounds like you need a stability study not a load flow study. If you try to serve 1200MW of load with 750 MW of generation, your frequency will decline and the whole system will trip off line. Do you import power?

that's allright but I was actually planning to see the impact of new generating stations in the loading of transmission line for which power flow study is must.

Yes, we do import some power around 200MW but still thats a shortage and thus there's a load shedding continuously for the whole year.
