Greetings,

Can someone help me find the section relating to Tension testing referenced in my subject line?

Thank you

Those requirements are found in the specific material specifications, from ASME Section II, Part A.

Do you have the section on tension testing by any chance? Not sure if its prudent to copy/paste into this thread but if you do and it is.....................

As I said, it's in Section II, Part A, relevant to the specific material specification that you are interested in. The ASME Codes are copyrighted and that means that I wouldn't be permitted to post them. If you are doing work with the ASME Codes, you really ought to have a copy.

If you do not d your own work, you will never learn. Also it cost no ey to learn, books are expensive but worth it.

Yes thank you very much I am aware and appreciate your time. I simply was looking for the paragraph on Tension testing, but who doesn't like a good lecture. I will seek out the data from our libraries and look at the book(s)as suggested.

Checking your local library is a good starting place for many standards. From that, you can decide whether it's a standard that you or your company should invest in. Don't forget to check university libraries; they tend to have better technical libraries than do public libraries. University libraries are also tending more and more towards digital copies, so consider memberships that allow you online access--especially with your alma mater.
