Pretty much in the title.

I've put a downward force on a lip and in stead of just bending down the result shows the lip also springing back to the initial nd upwards above the initial state. Probably a single setting I need to adjust but unfortunately PATRAN questions are not very google friendly...

Are you talking about the animation?
When you show the deformed shape you should have a bending in the downside.
I guess it is just about the animation settings
