Drawing for Top level assembly

Drawing for Top level assembly

Drawing for Top level assembly

(OP)
we are facing problem with placing the views in dafting in TOP level seat assembly that contains around 2600 parts. Takes lot of time to create views and update views in drawing dataset.

1. loaded assembly with lightweight and created exploded view while placing the views selected option in general tab lightweight. This option worked faster, however unable to pick the hole surfaces for trace line and also edges are not selecting in drafting for view dependent edit or to extract curve.

2. loaded assembly with normal load option created exploded view and trace line, while placing view in drawing sheet selected lightweight in view style before placing the views. This takes just less time compared to normal view placement.

Let me know is their best method for top level drawing creation to reduce time

We do master model method and NX 8.5 integrated with TCE
