NX9 Is Not Remembering Last Settings for me

NX9 Is Not Remembering Last Settings for me

NX9 Is Not Remembering Last Settings for me

(OP)
I know this is going to be some simple setting and I will feel stupid when this is answered. lol

The best example would be when using "Simple Length". When I turn it on, the selection filter is always set for "Tangent Curve". In the past, once we used it and clicked OK or APPLY, then next time we used this function, it would remember what we used. However, I have switched it to "Single Curve" and hit apply, and OK, and every time I come back to Simple Length, it is back to Tangent. I have talked to others in the company and only one other person has this problem that I have found. This tells me there must be a setting to change, but I cant figure out which one it is.

Can someone please help me?

RE: NX9 Is Not Remembering Last Settings for me

The first thing I would suggest is to "Reset Dialog Memory" in preferences, and see if that clears it up.

Also, check that the customer default "Save Dialog Memory between Sessions" is on.

Well, the Customer Default setting was set and I unchecked it and checked it again and restarted NX9. I also rest dialog memory and it still wont remember my last actions. Its strange because there are only two of us out of about 10 that I checked with that has this problem.

RE: NX9 Is Not Remembering Last Settings for me

It may be possible that in those systems where the problem is being seen that the dialog memory files were created in a read-only location. Have your IT people verify that all of your systems were set-up using consistent ownership settings.
