Nastran SOL700 problem

Nastran SOL700 problem

Nastran SOL700 problem

(OP)
Hello,

I run Nastran SOL700 analysis - bottle.bdf.
Link
But I still get this warning:

Error executing subprogram. Reason (errno) = 2.
No such file or directory
Please ensure your P3_TRANS.INI or site_setup file correctly points to the solver executable or that you have correctly set the proper environment variables to do the same.

How to fix it?
How to set Patran Configuration Utility?
Thank you.

RE: Nastran SOL700 problem

That does means Patran could not point to Nastran. Check out your installation.

You can also create a .bdf of your analysis (Method / Analysis Deck) and then drop it on the Nastran icon (desktop). but first right click on this icon and set the start directory to the one containing your project...

Thank you.
Nastran solves it, there's no problem,
but how to submit SOL 700 analysis from Patran?

RE: Nastran SOL700 problem

Patran needs you to tell which version of Nastran you want to use. It has a default one (for example Nastran 2012). And you probably are using another one (for example Nastran 2013). You can use 'Translation Parameters' in the Analysis form to check what is the default one Patran is using. And you can use 'Configuration Utility' in Pastran folder in the Programs in the Windows Start menu, to point to the one you want to use.
