Nitronic 19D supply
Nitronic 19D supply
(OP)
Does anyone have any suggestions on where I could source Nitronic 19D for corrosion testing? Currently in our lab we have cylinders that have been cut from a larger piece, but we will likely be running out soon. Everywhere I have looked is either a mill or purchases from a mill and has a 30,000 lb minimum purchase which is more than what we would need. The dimensions we would need would be 1" OD or less and am having trouble finding any kind of source. I would ask where it was previously purchased, but I am the only one left in the lab and have no way to contant the previous employees on where they purchased this.
Thanks for your help in advance and sorry if this is a forbidden topic.

RE: Nitronic 19D supply
In most environments it is barely better than 304L, and inferior to 316L and all of the newer lean duplex grades (2101, 2102, 2003, 2202, 2001).
You may find yourself moving to 2101 or one of the other more popular alloys.
19D has limited usage because of its very limited corrosion resistance.
