SURFACE DEFORM IN GSD

SURFACE DEFORM IN GSD

RE: SURFACE DEFORM IN GSD

Not in GSD but FSS (Freestyle Shaper), specifically you need the minimum license of FS1 to modify control points in that fashion.

RE: SURFACE DEFORM IN GSD

Hi~
I think they are different.
Is it possible to move the control point and keep the length of the two edges unchanged?

RE: SURFACE DEFORM IN GSD

(OP)
I don't think the length of two edges can stay the same. I've asked a question about deformation on another forum and it seems to be
possible in GSD to do something similar to what I've posted before. In GSD wrap curve definition or shape morphing deformation definition can be used.

RE: SURFACE DEFORM IN GSD

i don't know if any function will actually keep the curve length.

You can eventually build the new curve as an electrical bundle (EHI license) and set the curve length, or use Product optimizer to have catia find the proper tension parameter of your new curve in order to have the length you want.

If you need to do this only once, you can play with the tension parameter yourself and find the best value to match the length you need.
