Market for used solvents

(OP)
I am looking for a market to make some money from my used solvent. Is there any service that purchases this type of waste as opposed to charging to dispose of it?

RE: Market for used solvents

There are non-profit organizations (generally called "waste exchanges") which help people with a waste product find a home for it. Sometimes they are merely able to avoid disposal costs, and sometimes they can actually earn money for their wastes. Since transportation costs can be a substantial part of the transaction, these exchanges are usually regional in nature.

At the University of North Carolina-Charlotte there is the Southeast Waste Exchange, which can help you if you are in their region, or help you find a waste exhange in your region.

The Southeast Waste Exchange phone number is 704-547-2307 and the Director is Maxie May.
