Can Anyone advise a supplier of a suitable water bath for use in testing to ASTM G48 pitting corrosion tests. the one currently in use need replacing , however no one seems to supply polypropylene lined baths any more. Currently we use Grant JB series JB2

RE: Water Bath for ASTM G48

We use oil baths, with forced circulation in them.
If the mfg does not promise that it will hold better than +/-0.1C at all location in the bath then it won't work.
Variation of 0.5C is more than you can tolerate in this test.
I'll call our lab and see which ones we are using.
