Difference between RMU & MV switchgear

Difference between RMU & MV switchgear

Difference between RMU & MV switchgear

(OP)
Dear all,

I need to know the differences between using RMU & MV switchgear. And when to use each one.
I think in RMU:

1) Not more than one TR can be used
2) Protection relays can't be as MV switchgear.
3) Looping manueavering is not available in RMU.

Are these correct? what are the correct differences? when each type shall be used?

My project is in Qatar, if this will make a difference in the answer.

Thank you.

RE: Difference between RMU & MV switchgear

With RMU solution (RM6 for example) you can have also more than one feeder, feeder in CB or disconnect+fuses you can also built a switchgear with some basic function. RMU is more compact and dedicated basic solution (for example for open loop in distribution) with basic or autonomous protection relay.
