parts list help, NX7.5 - TC 8

parts list help, NX7.5 - TC 8

(OP)
I inserted a parts list and then later I added more parts to my assembly and modified a few parts. Now the new parts show up in the parts list in a different color (darker) with no item number assigned and they are duplicates from existing parts (changed the quantity). Example, I have a part with a quantity of 3 and the same part (different color) with a quantity of 2 in the PL. Naturally I should have that part only once with a quantity of 5. It seems like something is not syncing correctly. The help file is confusing with regard to this topic.

RE: parts list help, NX7.5 - TC 8

It could be a TC thing, but it might also be the key field in your parts list.
The key field is the column that defines what is unique for each row, so any row that is the same in the key field is combined to increase the quantity count (I hope that made sense).

I made a video a while back about parts lists: http://vimeo.com/106565338
It covers how the key field works and it might be the answer to your problem.
