Is API 5L X60 pipe an acceptable material grade to use for an ASME VIII, Div 1 pressure vessel?

The X60 yield and tensile are more than adequate to meet my design requirements. Just could not find this material listed in VIII, Div 1 or IID.

Thanks!

RE: API 5L X60

No, it`s not listed as an acceptable material in table UCS-23.

RE: API 5L X60

engpes, look at the MTR to see if it is perhaps mulitple-certified.

Mike

It is not dual stamped and not an approved IID material, but can it meet or exceed the requirements of UG-10 and be used?

This material is acceptable per ASME B31.3. Would this be similar to using an ASTM material that was processed in accordance with ASME VIII, Div 1?
