Didier, i think you better ask this to GTAC.

RE: NX4 on Win7 64 bits

It's not supported but it does work. I have NX3 & NX4 running on Win 7.
There are a few threads in eng-tips about it. Biggest issue I recall is getting the license service installed, not difficult to do, just a process to follow.
Try it and if you get stuck, I reckon I can help you out to get it working.

RE: NX4 on Win7 64 bits

I have UG V18.0 running on Windows 7. Granted, I never actually installed UG V18.0 on Windows 7, but I copied over an image that was installed on an older workstation and it still works. Now that's not a statement of official support for anything that old, but it does work...

RE: NX4 on Win7 64 bits

I am using NX4 on Win7 x64. I believe i only have the 32bit installation though. The install media we received initially didn't have the 64bit version on it. No idea why. Either way.. its still installed and working. However to get it to work, as Anthony mentions, there is an issue with the license server (if my memory servers me correctly it was Anthony that assisted us in getting it to work properly a year or so ago) and a file needed to be swapped for an updated/tweaked one. :)

RE: NX4 on Win7 64 bits

Follow the procedure below and it should work.

1. Copy all license server setup files from the NX4 install DVD to your local hard disk.
2. Delete lmgrd.exe from the files you've copied.
3. Copy the lmgrd.exe from the NX6 or NX5 flexlm install in to your local copy of the licensing folder.
4. Select lmgrd.exe, right click to access the properties using MB3.
5. Check Administrator privilege button.
6. Then run the setup using your local setup that you copied & modified.

Thanks Anthony,

I had found your last thread and was able to install the license with lmgrd.exe from NX9 folder in step 3.

At this time, I am waiting from GTAC for an up to date NX4 license, because I have upgraded my MACH2 Prod Design to MACH3 Ind Design.
