UGNX 9.0 assembly translucency issues
UGNX 9.0 assembly translucency issues
(OP)
Hi.
I have noticed a problem when switching from NX8.0 to NX9.0. I work with assemblies quite often and found that I am unaware to make my work part transparent in order to use other components as reference. It seems that the external faces of the work part cannot be made transparent. I have never had this issue before when using 8.0. Has anyone noticed this?
I created an image showing 8.0 on the left side and 9.0 on the right side.

RE: UGNX 9.0 assembly translucency issues
It's difficult to respond since there are multiple options to apply translucency.
"See thru layers" ? - In both NX8 and NX9 ?

I have tried to toggle the "see-thru all" icon, but this does not help. I'm wondering if there is something in the customer defaults that is different between the two versions of UG.

RE: UGNX 9.0 assembly translucency issues
Menu -> Preferences -> Visualization Performance -> General Grpahics
...to see if the 'Disable Translucency' option is toggled ON?
