(OP)
our bystar 2512 has suddenly developed a couple of faults first one went to load program with floppy disc comes up with program not defined, so cant load , since then on start up we have fault.says emergency stop but all is ok parts conveyor and sheet beds still work fine ,in our cabinet below the pc screen we have a relay the safey interface, has three light red, green orange, normally we have a orange light and green light when light guards ect are ok now we have orange and red ,seems like the pcs not talking to the cnc, any one have any input, please don't say ring bystronic I have and they say they don't have any engineers that no anything about this age machine 1995

RE: bystar2512 help

that module w the three lights- it needs to see 3 things- ok signal from the cnc rack, ok signal from the drives, and ok signal from the e-stop. if the bridge or wagon are pushed up against the stops you will get an emergency stop. yo need to move it away and turn the machine off and on to unlatch the relay. the sensor ring switch should also be checked.

program not defined- try a known working good program.
