Reference Geometry on Orphan Mesh

Reference Geometry on Orphan Mesh

Reference Geometry on Orphan Mesh

(OP)
Hello all,

I have an orphan mesh of an advanced woven composite material--I am trying to figure out the best way to apply the orthotropic material properties to the undulating tows. Ideally, I would like to sketch a spline in which to base the normal/tangential component of the local material orientation. Is it possible to sketch a spline (or sketch anything) as reference geometry on an orphan mesh? Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

Chris
