.net Technology

(OP)
I was wondering if anyone is currently using .net technology and what their thoughts were on it. I am specifically curious about people using C# with Windows Forms and ASP.net.

I have been using Microsoft Visual C# and Visual C++.net for a couple a months now. I have written a couple of windows apps, ASP webpages and XML Web Services.

I think that .net will be the "wave" of the future, but that is really based on Microsoft's ability to get people using it and integrate it into their OSs.

Anyone have any thoughts??

RE: .net Technology

As far as I know .net is a platform which one can connect to use its wide range of its features. C# is the new programming language that would be promoted with the .net technology. I must tell that C# resembles Java a lot. Since I use Java as the programming language, I could easily tell that it is very similar syntax and concepts are almost the same. So, it might be easy to use or migrate to C# for a java programmer.
