MasterÆs Degree û Postgraduateà What should I do?

MasterÆs Degree û Postgraduateà What should I do?

(OP)
Hello!!!!!! I’m new around here, and I recently graduated from Civil Engineer. I live in the Dominican Republic (Caribbean - Near Puerto Rico). I am 22 years old. I am looking to do a Master’s Degree or postgraduate. The thing is, I do not know which area/specialization fits better to my likes.

I am looking for some advice, recommendation, or comment on the different areas that the civil engineer offers in which they include (some, if all better): creation, design, tampering, computing (&Technology in general), not jobbed-attached (Something which I can undertake later on).
Thanks a million :D !!!

RE: MasterÆs Degree û Postgraduateà What should I do?

In MD many roadway gutter pans are constructed of concrete many experience spalling. Does anyone have any knowledge on what might be causing this to occur and how nbest to fix it? The state specified concrete mix is being utilized.

Thanks

quark: Post it in "materials engineering other".

Jose: I'd ask locally of consulting engineering firms, but don't just pick something that you have not researched to see the need as well as a field that interests you.

Thanks for the suggestion! Will be doing that!

Consider working for a year or two as a civil engineer. The work experience will enable you to understand how the engineering business works.

Don't think that it is something that can be picked up from a book in a library, you have to experience it. The colleagues that you work with will be important to your success as well.

I would caution against jumping into a post graduate school when you haven't worked in the field yet.
find a job first to get some experience, even if its internship before you go do graduate school. it cost money and you better know what your getting into before you jump in.
