HART 375 Device Descriptors

(OP)
Does anyone know a simple way to move DDs from a HART 475 communicator to a 375? I have tried to simply copy the contents of the memory card in the 475 and paste it to the one used in the 375 but it comes up with an error when the 375 is turned back on? Any help would be much appreciated.

RE: HART 375 Device Descriptors

I suspect that doing so is like trying to copy an installed application from one Windows box to another Windows box. It doesn't work that way; Windows apps have to be 'installed', even though one might think everything needed is there, it isn't.

The Easy Upgrade application software was used for editing the DD files on a 375. Since the 375 was sold up until Dec 2013, it's likely the Easy Upgrade software is still available, however, the 375 must have the license code enabled for the Easy Upgrade option, indicated by the (letter U, not numeral 9) near the end of the part number, or it may be listed on the 'license' screen.

Maybe someone else with both a 375 and 475 can make a definitive statement, since these are only my suppositions.
