converting NX8.5 metric part to inches

(OP)
I imported an enclusre from a website. It is in metric. I'd like to work in inches and now I'm not able to "make work part" because may layout assy is in inches and the enclosures parts are in metric. How do I get around this? can I convert the enclosure from metric to inches?

RE: converting NX8.5 metric part to inches

There is a command line utility included with NX to convert part units; it is called ug_convert_part.exe. You can look it up in the help file to get more info on it. Or, you can use one of the various utilities created by NX users to help out. Some can be found within the links of:
thread561-325705: NX convert part units
or search this forum for "convert part" for plenty more threads...

If you only want to convert a single part at a time (as opposed to an assembly or entire folder, which the CLI program will gladly do), you can use this journal:

Thanks,

It was imported from .stp into an inch files. For some reason, it stayed metric. Once it was an NX file, I did another import of the actual NX file into a new NX inch file, the it was in inches.
