I am looking for additional manufacturers of variable displacement pumps with a 28 gpm min flow and greater than 7000 psi pressure rating. We are running endurance testing on high pressure valves are destroying pumps every 9 months or so. We have done what we can to the circuits to eliminate pressure spikes that feed back to the pump during cycling. The Parker/Denison pumps have failed quickly. Dynex pumps are lasting the 9 months. We are currently trying a Rexroth pump. I have spent a lot of time searching and have not found any suppliers with pumps capable of the 7000 psi pressure at a continuous duty cycle. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I suppose that all the pumps you tested so far were/are rated for a continuous operating pressure of 7000 psi or even higher? If yes, then the problem was never the operating pressure but always the peaks which might have been undefined high. This problem will not be solved with another pump. You can get piston/plunger pumps for operating pressures higher than 40000 psi but they are big and bloody expensive. My advice is really to focus further on the pressure peaks and how they can be avoided.

9 months is great! Learn how to repair pumps if you want them to last longer. Figure out what is failing first by pulling the pump apart BEFORE it fails and giving it a good going over. Replace parts early, before failure, and 9 months may double.
At 28 gpm and 7000psi, what did you expect? Nothing lasts forever.
