design features in Europe

(OP)
Hello! My name is Andrey.

My boss gave me the task to explore the features of the design in Europe.
I have experience in design only in Russia and Belarus.
Please share your experience in design of the power supply.
What are the stages of the design process?
What am I supposed to negotiate and with whom?
What regulations does an electrical engineer use in the design?
How relations with the customer and the contractor?

Thank you very much for your attention. I hope for feedback

RE: design features in Europe

Thanks for the answer.
Understand, that the issue is global, but I want to know the direction of where to start digging.

In Belarus and Russia for example, there are two design stage. The first stage of developing a simplified, being approved by the state examination. The second step is to carry out construction and installation work. And how organized your work?

We have standards for design drawings at different stages. Do you have any? Where can I look for them?

P.S. Sorry for my bad English.
