Contact for pressed and sintered parts

Contact for pressed and sintered parts

(OP)
Hi all

Does anyone have a contact to have pressed and sintered parts made.

It seems that regardless of who I contact they are agents for companies in China. I'd rather deal directly.

Thanks

RE: Contact for pressed and sintered parts

China remains an enigma and it will be a challenge opening the layers till you see the core. ( many times it could be rotten).

Easier way would be to find specialist agencies in your country, who have technical representatives in China and can provide the support. Of course, it shall be at a price.

I'm just one step away from being rich, all I need now is money.

You might try Hoeganaes Corp. in Cinnaminson, NJ. They produce metal powders for the industry and may be willing to give you a few referrals.

RE: Contact for pressed and sintered parts

What is the component you wish to have sintered? What is the application these sintered metal components will be used for? While it can be cheaper to have sintered metal components mass produced in China, and it is also possible to get good quality products from Chinese suppliers, you must also consider factors like the cost of shipping or delivery problems using a foreign vendor.

Making parts using a sintered metal blank can be a very cost effective approach. But getting a high-quality sintered metal blank in mass production is not an easy task, and requires lots of effort. Working with a vendor in China would make this process much more difficult.

Great group of people, very helpful and willing to talk and help in the design, been doing work there since the '40s.
