Support & Inquires

Hello everyone,

I am mostly fresh on pipeline. My major is mechanical by the way.

I have jumped into two jobs during this year, and I am finding some difficulties with my new one.

My previous company I was working as Pipeline Engineer in the Planning Stage (Design Phase), reading standards and working on engineering drawings.

My knowledge of pipeline there are three categories:

1) Planning Stage/ Early Stage

2) Construction

3) Operation

Likewise as

Collect --> Analysis --> Implementation --> Early Stage --> Project Proposal --> Detail Design --> Pre-comissioning - Construction --> Procurement --> Production --> Operation

At the moment, my new company is under procurement / production dealing with Pipeline Management by collecting data from the Remote Terminal Unit (RTU) to implement it on Pipeline Integrity from Scraper Tracking, DRA, Stress Analysis, Corrosion Management, and other features. It's like an IT Job.surprise By the way, my job is Project Engineer.

Within the last couples of weeks now, I feel I choose the wrong option joining the current company even though I read & search a lot about it. Any advice you could share with me that may be helpful for me to learn or books to read related to my current company.
