Currently,I am designing a high rise hotel building which is going to be protected by sprinkler system throughout. Proposed pump size is 1000 GPM to serve standpipe and sprinkler. Now, It seems building would required to be protected with private hydrants.
In this would we have to add 1000 GPM in pump capacity since minimum two hydrant with flow rate of 500 GPM each shall be considered for hydraulic calculation or 1000 GPM would be still serve all three systems if we go by highest water demand from either of hydrant or combined standpipe-sprinkler.
Project is in Saudi Arabia.
Please provide NFPA referrences to determine water demand in cases where hydrants has to be considered. I am aware about NFPA 13 and NFPA 14 clauses about sprinkler+standpipe requirement.

If the hydrants are for site fire fighting, you likely need to site fire flow requires. Look in the IFC Appendix B for site fire flow requirements on your project.

The site fire flow would likely be the greatest volume, but low pressure. The standpipe is going to be your highest pressure demand.

Size your pump capacity based on site fire flow demands. Size the pump pressure based on standpipe demand.

Sprinklers for a hotel will likely be less demanding than standpipe pressures.

Exactly what TMack said:

Your Pump Rated Pressure to be 100 psi + P.ele loss + P fr.
That will be more than required pressure for hydrant flow and the flow requirements for on site Hydrants will most likely be more than required for Standpipe system.

The insurance industry that deals with fire insurance coverage has specialists dealing with fire protection engineering. You should consult your fire insurance carrier for help. These carriers maintain plenty of in-house literature as well as FM literature and NFPA's for their reference.
