WELDER UNIT SUPPLY MISMATCH
WELDER UNIT SUPPLY MISMATCH
(OP)
IDK if this has been asked here. But I'll try it. Has anyone of you guys tried supplying a 3-phase bridge rectifier rated at 380V with single-phase 460V? Theoritically, the DC output will be more or less equal.
Do you have any experience doing this? (a welding unit was ordered with a nameplate rating of 380V- three phase. It's been lying idle unused). TIA.

Then look up that part number for the diode pack. The cut sheet for the diode should tell you what is the maximum voltage it can take.
I believe your dc ripple would be much greater.
