Sanitary Lift Pump Datasheet

Sanitary Lift Pump Datasheet

Sanitary Lift Pump Datasheet

(OP)
Hey guys,

Can you tell me what are the applicable and required in the material section in the datasheet to input? or what the vendor can provide for the pump I described below. See attached.
I am preparing for the mechanical datasheet for a sanitary lift pump (fully submersible pump, most likely this will be a supplier standard type of construction. The process guy only indicated material for casing and impeller. I know guards and baseplate are obviously not applicable. Could you enlighten me?

Thanks,
V.

RE: Sanitary Lift Pump Datasheet

Google ITT-Flygt pumps - enough data there to complete 100 data sheets.

It is a capital mistake to theorise before one has data. Insensibly one begins to twist facts to suit theories, instead of theories to suit facts. (Sherlock Holmes - A Scandal in Bohemia.)

RE: Sanitary Lift Pump Datasheet

Only put in the required materials if you know what you want. If you don't, and it certainly sounds that way, leave it blank and let the vendor fill it in and then compare what different vendors are offering you. These sorts of things are a fixed design and churned out in batches. If you specify something which sounds good but the vendor normally supplies a different material either they won't be bothered to quote or will still supply the different material and then say this is an exception. Don't get stressed thinking you NEED to fill in all the options - the lines on the data sheet are there so that if your pump needs a certain material, you can specify it.

Just make sure you describe the function well, especially operation, number of starts / stops anticipated, any details you have on the fluid , e.g. dirty water, sewage, etc and then let the vendor determine what he thinks is suitable.

Then compare the offerings from different vendors and decide which is the best one and whether a more expensive pump with higher grade materials is worth it or not.

My motto: Learn something new every day

Also: There's usually a good reason why everyone does it that way
