RE: How to Provide reinforcement in Slab and beam In SAP 2000

There is a couple of options,

1. We can use section designer, but SAP2000 does not consider the contribution of reinforcement is deflection calculation etc..(as far as I know)
2. We can use section property modifiers to tweak the structural behavior. For example you can calculate approximate contribution to M.Inertia due to reinforcement and use property modifier option to enhance the MI of the elements.

Best,

Hello AP92,
Sap2000 version 15 and higher has a tool display the reinforcement design for slab base on DIN. EN 1992, sandswich model method. F9 and see Concrete design. (searh in help of sap)
The second way is choose control M11, M22 and shear V13 and use your related code to design for bending reinforcement and shear rebar.
Best Regard
Thanh,
