how to put the instance of the mirrored toolpath in a different program group

how to put the instance of the mirrored toolpath in a different program group

(OP)
when i moved the mirrored instance of the toolpath to a different program group, all the other instances and the original toolpath move to the same program group,i want to put the original toolpath and the instance of it in different programme group.

RE: how to put the instance of the mirrored toolpath in a different program group

(OP)
i have 3 program group which has same toolpaths also have some other toolpaths, when i modify one toolpath in a program group i want to update
the same modification in the other program group.
when i modify the master toolpath, the linked toolpaths must be modified also even if they are in different program group.
this is because i have 4 part which is very similar but have some small changes, and i dont want to modify all 4 toolpaths one by one,
is there an another way?, if i chose copy option in transform menu, i can move them into different program group but this time i again there is no link with the same toolpath? any idea...?

The ability to "link" toolpaths is a crash waiting to happen.

Good luck codecodelin.

To the Toolmaker, your nice little cartoon drawing of your glass looks cool, but your solid model sucks. Do you want me to fix it, or are you going to take all week to get it back to me so I can get some work done?

RE: how to put the instance of the mirrored toolpath in a different program group

i am not looking for linking the toolpaths.
instance copies all the properties of the toolpath even program group, which is not necessary ,
is there an option to tell nx to not to copy the program group attr.

RE: how to put the instance of the mirrored toolpath in a different program group

What version are you using?
Have you looked at "Paste with Reference"? I think that may do what you are looking for.

nx9 , yes it copies the toolpath but i want to change the original toolpath and it must reflect the change to the copied ones, copied ones must be changed from the other toolpath in other program group

RE: how to put the instance of the mirrored toolpath in a different program group

how to enable paste with reference? when i copy a toolpath, then right click i see only paste, how to find paste with reference
