Repair of bottom chord

Repair of bottom chord

Repair of bottom chord

(OP)
Attached is the detail of existing bottom chord of a truss for conveyor. We like to repair the member and add some reinforcing along the double angles but don't know of a detail?
Seems the heads of rivits are on the way of reinforcing members? They can't be place against the vertical legs and horizontal legs and then get attcahed to gusset plate due to the rivit heads.

Any ideas? I appreciate for direction. A sketch can communicate the best.

Thank you

RE: Repair of bottom chord

seems to be mis-posted, this is unrelated to storage tanks

RE: Repair of bottom chord

Check out the term "coped" beam and you may have your answer to that interference.
