ability to view annotations and datum structure imbedded into models

ability to view annotations and datum structure imbedded into models

ability to view annotations and datum structure imbedded into models

(OP)
I am being told by our software supplier that if we need the ability to view annotations and datum structure embedded into the models we are receiving that we need to purchase an additional addon to CATIA. Specificaly the FTX 3D Master addon. Is there really no way to do this inside Catia V5?

Thanks for any information you can provide

RE: ability to view annotations and datum structure imbedded into models

Hi Rjwilliams,

if you want to view annotations and datum which are already embedded into the model there is no need of any add-on license. But if you want to modify the annotations you need a extra add-on license which is FTA(Functional Tolerance and Annotation).

How would my end user view this information. It is already embedded into the model and we have do not need to edit this information.

RE: ability to view annotations and datum structure imbedded into models

Right-click on the annotations in the catia tree and switch on annotations it show all the captures, datum, datum targets and all GD&T will be visible.
