Pipe Soil Interaction DNVF105 x ASCE

(OP)
Hello all!

Does anybody know if it would be OK to use ASCE rules to establish spring stiffness for submerged pipelines in order to analyse VIV according to DNV F105?

Thanks a lot.

RE: Pipe Soil Interaction DNVF105 x ASCE

Maybe, but have your soils consultant establish the spring constants. ASCE isn't very good at it.

you must get smarter than the software you're using.
