Normalization of A283C

(OP)
Hello everybody, i asked to find a suitable way for normalizing A283c steel plates. I thought that critical temp + 50 C, which is 780-850 degrees celsius, for 1 hour will be enough. No specification was given on purchase order. Is 780-850 C for 1 hour enough?

RE: Normalization of A283C

Not enough. You are in the annealing range. 900C to 930C.
One must ask, why normalize A-283 C low carbon steel plate?
