Bevel End as per ASME B16.25 fig. 2a

(OP)
Hi All,

Can somebody please explain what the broken lines in B16.25 fig 2a means?

We have a running order with the a pipe mill and they specified that they will supply the pipes ends according to B16.25 fig 2a (which we specified on the PO), however mill stated that the pipe ends shall NOT contain the transition construction which has been indicated in broken lines. Therefore, the beveled angle shall be in single 'V" type with the chamfering angle of 37.5±2.5°and the root face of 1.6±0.8mm.

Is single V type (described by the pipe mill)the same and in compliance to fig2a of B16.25?

Thanks...
