I can't find the reference for the darn thing. I'm probably looking right past it but I can't find it. I'm referring to the [1 - (.5 - G)] provision. Does anyone know the reference offhand, by chance? Thanks.

Look in the 2008 Edotion of AWC SDPWS-2008. For Wood Framed Diaphragms it is found under footnote 2 of Table 4.2A on page 18. For Wood Framed Shearwalls it is footnote 2 of Table 4.3A on 31.

The specific gravities of various wood species is found in NDS-2012, Table 11.3.3A on page 81.
