Identification Symbols default to $~C
Identification Symbols default to $~C
(OP)
My identification symbol notations change from entered numbers to "$~C". This happens only randomly (usually close to deadline), and only after I have saved, closed, and then openned at a later date. Anyone else have this problem or are the gemlins just having a good laugh?

RE: Identification Symbols default to $~C
because it is will take the item number of the parts list and place it in the ID symbol
See image to turn off point selection on your tool bar so the arrow will not be associated to anything.

What type of text are you manually entering into the ID symbols?

If you are adding other information to the drawing, you would be better served by using an ID balloon type that is not associated to the parts list (by default the circle symbol is used by the parts list).
