Unable to select a sketched entity in a drawing

Unable to select a sketched entity in a drawing

(OP)
I would like to add a sketched circle to a drawing to dimension a V-groove. I can sketch the circle ok and convert it to a construction line, but am unable to select the circle itself or its center to create a dimension to the part. I have done this in the past with no problem, but this time it's giving me fits. Is there some way to make the sketched circle selectable?

Thanks

RE: Unable to select a sketched entity in a drawing

Have you checked your selection filters? Go to view -> toolbars -> and click selection filters. Make sure that at minimum the filter for sketches is on.

RE: Unable to select a sketched entity in a drawing

Make sure the view is active when adding the circle. If the circle is not part of the active view, you may not be able to select it.

Got it!

"Lock View Focus" had to be selected in the view before making the sketch. Then the sketched enity could be tird to the drawing view.
