Delete cameras from NX part

Delete cameras from NX part

I have an NX part that has a Cameras node in it. I want to use the part for another purpose and I want to delete the Cameras node so I don't get any questions about it. I cannot figure out how to delete the Cameras node. Any ideas?

RE: Delete cameras from NX part

You cannot remove individual 'Cameras' at least not the system-define ones. If you create an 'New' Cameras you can always delete them but only those. The best that you can do is to turn 'Cameras' OFF by opening the Part Navigator, placing your cursor over some 'white space', pressing MB3 and selecting...

Remove Top Nodes -> Cameras

Note that this will NOT actually change the part file but will simply remove the 'Cameras' for the duration of your current session only.

Why are you so concerned about people seeing the 'Cameras' node in the Part Navigator? You claim that you don't want to get any questions about them. Well there dozens of things in NX which are optional in their use and which also cannot be turned OFF, are you worried about people asking you what they are as well? Just tell them to "Not worry about it."

As ever, thanks John! You are right - I should not worry about it and I will tell the users to not worry about it either. Sometimes the simplest answers are the best!!
