My client needs to purchase herringbone shaper cutters for a Sykes 5E machine. We have all the specs we need except for the cutter bore size. My client and I are in California. The Sykes machine is at my client's vendor's shop overseas. Question: what is the correct bore size for cutters for a Sykes 5E machine?

RE: Bore size for cutters for Sykes 5E

Cutters for the Sykes 5E 'generally' have a 3.500" bore.
Be careful though as not all of the 5E machines used that size, there are a few older machines that I've seen that use 3.000" cutters.

Thanks very much, gearcutter. Looks like we'll need to have the shop measure the machine.
